David studied fine art and exhibited his sculpture and installation work in Toronto before pursuing his long interest in building and architecture at Dalhousie University. Having moved to Halifax and fallen in love with the east coast he now brings his artistic, design and technical sensibilities to Solterre. His strong experience in construction and wood craft, coupled with Solterre's continuing leadership in building reuse and materials research have allowed him to put his hands on design approach to good use. An interest in conservation and carbon emissions have led to an expertise in integrated building systems and super efficient building design.
